FOMMM is an evangelical/medical organization and our main focus as we tend to patients medical needs is to seek and save that which is lost.  Each trip will be one to two weeks and we will see patients in a clinic at a hospital and/or go out into the villages with a mobile clinic team.  If a surgeon comes along, we will do general surgeries.  If there is a local surgeon, we will do surgeries.  This is a means to bring the gospel to all who come to us with health needs.  We have gone out into  villages with The Jesus Film and The Passion and witness to anyone who will listen to us preach and teach.

We start our day with a morning devotion.  All patients get prayed for and witnessed to.  Someone also prays over each surgery patient.  There is follow up the next day as patients are in the recovery ward.  There we continue to teach them and have sermons as they recover.  After the work day we may go out to evangelize or show a Jesus movie.

On the weekends we will be sight seeing.  The places we will visit is subject to which country we are in at the time.

We ask that everyone interested in coming on a future trip prayerfully consider joining FOMMM.  We trust the Lords leading us and you in the decision making to serve God and the people we serve.  There is a fee we charge to cover travel and food costs while there.  We have stayed at a mission house before and will also stay at a hotel or guest house.  These specified living conditions do depend on which country we go to.

The details of the fees and flight costs depend on the country we go to.  E-mail or call for specifics of whichever trip you plan on joining.  Families are encouraged to bring their teens.  Teens as well as adults go home changed forever.

All we ask is that you agree with our vision and statement of faith and be ready to work in areas of your expertise and anywhere else the Lord leads. Be ready to be stretched. Some have a medical background, some an evangelism background, and some have the willingness to serve where ever the Lord needs.  If you have an interest in witnessing, (this is NOT mandatory) we use the Law to bring conviction and then the love of Christ makes sense.

Feel free to call and/or e-mail us with comments or questions.  We can also send out application and information packets.  Just let us know what address you would like it mailed to.  Not everyone that comes with us has (or needs) a medical background.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

1. GOD -There is but one God, the creator of heaven and earth.  Ruler of all things, having in and of Himself all perfections, and being infinite in them all; and to Him all creatures owes the highest love reverence, and obedience. ( Genesis 1:1)

2. Trinity- God eternally exist in three persons the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit each with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.  (Mt 28:19, John 10:30)

3. The Scriptures- The Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are the inspired, infallible, authoritative, and inerrant Word of God. (II Tim 3:15-17, II Peter 1:21)

4. The Fall of Man- God created man in His own image, free from sin, but through the temptation of Satan, man transgressed the command of God and fell from his original holiness and righteousness whereby his descendants inherit a nature of corruptness and wholly opposed to God and His law, and are under condemnation, and as soon as they are capable of moral action, become transgressors.

5. The Mediator - Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, is the appointed mediator between God and man. Having taken upon Himself, human nature, yet without sin. He perfectly fulfilled the law, suffered upon the cross for the salvation of sinners. He was buried, rose again on the third day, and ascended into heaven to His Father, at whose right hand He lives to make intercession for His people. He is the only Mediator, the Prophet, Priest, and King of the Church and Sovereign of the Universe.

6. Regeneration- Regeneration is a change of heart wrought by the Holy Spirit who makes alive those who were dead in their sins, enlighting their minds spiritually to understand the Word of God, and renewing their whole nature so that they love and practice holiness. It is a work of Gods free and special grace.

7. Repentance- Repentance is an evangelical grace, wherein the Holy Spirit makes a person aware of the manifold evil of sin, so that he humbles himself with Godly sorrow, detesting sin, and abhorring himself with a purpose to walk before God so as to please Him in all things.

8. Faith - Faith isn't merely believing that God exists, or believing Jesus died on the cross.  It is complete trust in Him and what He did on the cross to pay the debt we owe. We know apart from faith in Jesus Christ and true repentance, no man can be saved.

9. Justification- Justification is God's gracious and full acquittal of sinners who believe in Christ, from all sin through the satisfaction that Christ made. It is given not because of merit but on account of the obedience and satisfaction of Christ; receiving and resting on Him and His righteousness by faith.

10. Sanctification- Those who have been regenerated are also sanctified by God's Word and His Spirit dwelling in them. The sanctification is progressive through a supply of Divine strength, which the saints seek to obtain and to live in willing obedience to all Christ's commands.

11. The Church - The Lord Jesus is the Head of the Church and the body is composed of all his true disciples. We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

12. Judgment -God has appointed a day, where He will judge the world in righteousness by Jesus Christ; when everyone will receive according to his deeds the wicked shall go to everlasting punishment, the righteous, into everlasting life.

13. Love - We believe that we Christians are examples of the love of God in this world. It is this (agape) love that we desire to possess and without which we have no right to call ourselves Christians (I John 4:16-17)

14. Sharing the Gospel - We believe it is the mandate of the church to go into the world and to preach the Gospel to every living creature. ( Mk 16:15, Mt 28:19-20)

15. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those who are saved unto resurrection of eternal life and those who are not into the resurrection of eternal damnation (John 5:28-29).

16.Baptism is an ordinance of the Lord Jesus, obligatory upon every believer, wherein he is immersed in water in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, as a sign of his fellowship with the death and resurrection of Christ, of remission of sins, and of his giving himself up to God, to live and walk in newness of life.

Essential Convictions

1.  Missions are an impossibility apart from the Power of God. All men of every culture are born radically depraved, at enmity with God, and restraining the truth. The conversion of a man and the advancement of missions are an absolute impossibility apart from the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit in regeneration. Modern church growth strategies and many new mission methodologies often overlook this essential truth.

2.  A True Gospel must be proclaimed. The Gospel is the power of God for salvation (Romans 1:16) and the preaching of the Gospel is the great “means” and “methodology” of missions. The Gospel is, first and foremost, God in Christ reconciling the world to Himself (II Corinthians 5:19). It answers the eternal question of how a just God can rightly justify wicked men (Romans 3:26). It points to Christ alone, who bore the sins of His people upon the cross, was forsaken of God, and crushed under the full force of His just wrath against sin. The Good News of the Gospel is that through Christ’s death, the justice of God was satisfied, and salvation was won for a great multitude of people. This is evidenced by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead - “He who was delivered over because of our transgressions, and was raised because of our justification” (Romans 4:25).

3.  The Gospel Transcends Culture. The greatest need of all men of every culture is the clear proclamation of the Gospel. Men are saved through the Gospel and continue in sanctification through continued growth in the full counsel of God’s Word. Although differences in culture are to be considered, it is more important for the missionary to be biblically sensitive than culturally sensitive. A missionary was once asked how he preached the Gospel to a certain remote tribe. He declared, “I do not preach the Gospel to a remote tribe. I preach the Gospel to men!”

4.  Incarnational Missions is Essential. Although there may be some effective non-personal means of communicating the Gospel, there is no substitute for one man living among a people, teaching the Gospel to them, and living out his faith before them. God sent his own Son, and He became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:1,14; 3:16).

5.  Superficial Evangelism is one of the Great Obstacles to Missions. Non-theological preaching, entertaining skits, and Gospel films are no substitute for the biblical exposition of the Gospel. Inviting men to raise their hands and pray a prayer is no substitute for the biblical call to repentance, faith, and personal discipleship. Biblical assurance of salvation does not flow from a past decision or a prayer, but from the examination of one’s enduring lifestyle in the light of Scripture.

6. True Missions is Costly. We live in a fallen world that is at enmity with God and opposes His truth; therefore, missions and suffering go hand in hand. Any advancement of the kingdom of Christ into the dominion of the devil will be met with warfare. There are many countries and people groups where martyrdom cannot be avoided.
